woman with pastry 19550218_sIn case you were wondering, this is National Pastry Day. No, it wasn’t implemented by an act of Congress in the US, it was implemented by pastry chefs. And what a lovely thing to celebrate: pastries. Éclairs, doughnuts, bear claws, rugalach, croissants, cookies, cakes, tarts, and, of course, petits fours. This is a special day to feed your sweet tooth and get out your pastry bags. Make icing, and fill those jelly doughnuts with jam.

Especially during this holiday season, when we’re all baking cookies, be sure to share National Pastry Day with friends near and far. Send a dozen cookies!

Now I’m off to the boulangerie across the street for my weekly chocolate croissant.

Wishing you a sweet day!

Trish

    Enjoy!

  2. I love pastries!
Unfortunately, gluten does not like me. 🙁
I am having a heck of a time finding gf treats that actually taste good.
But I celebrated National Pastry Day all last week 🙂
    Back to the yucky stuff.
Enjoy a pastry for me! 🙂
