Time for a dose of: Her Old-Fashioned Doctor by Sue Lyndon
Now, maybe you don’t like going to the doctor when you have a boo-boo, or maybe you do. But some doctors are worth putting squeamishness aside. I think you’ll find this to be the case with Sue Lyndon’s new book Her Old-Fashioned Doctor. Please take a moment to learn about this fun new spanking romance and a little about Sue as well. This is part of my ongoing series of introductions to authors I know and love.
To begin with, Sue answered an off-the-wall question for me.
Patricia: Tell us about a unique or quirky habit of yours.
Sue: When I am folding laundry, I take all of the used dryer sheets and I must tie them into a tight knot before I throw them in the trash. I have no idea why I am compelled to do this, but if I catch my husband tossing a used dryer sheet into the trash, I have to take it out and tie it in a knot before throwing it away again.
Oooookay. That is a little quirky, but we love you anyway. Genius breeds idiosyncrasies.
Here’s a little bit about Her Old-Fashioned Doctor.
After she catches her fiancé cheating on her, Melissa packs a suitcase and sets out on a road trip to give herself some time to recover. But things take an unexpected turn when she rear-ends Dr. John Holden’s truck in a tiny rural town and he responds by inviting her for an impromptu dinner date.
The handsome medic’s charm and take-charge manner—not to mention his willingness to spank her bare bottom if he feels it necessary—all combine to set Melissa’s heart beating faster than it has in a long time. Almost before she knows it, Melissa finds herself falling deeply in love with the old-fashioned doctor, even though she’s only known him for a couple of days. But is her rapidly growing crush on John merely a rebound fling, or can his hold on her heart last forever?
Publisher’s Note: Her Old-Fashioned Doctor is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, medical play, anal play, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book. This book is also available as part of a five-book collection entitled “What the Doctor Ordered.”
And here’s a fun excerpt.
“How old are you, Melissa?” It wasn’t the most polite question, but the need to know her age trumped good manners.
“I’ll be twenty-two next month.”
The air was knocked from his chest. Good Lord. She was indeed a young thing at twenty-one. He opened his mouth to ask her another question when she surprised him with a bold question of her own.
“And how old are you, John?”
He didn’t want to tell her. Even worse, he wanted to lie about his age and make it closer to hers. And yet, their age difference served to remind him of her probable lack of experience, her profound innocence, and his groin tightened with desire. “I’m thirty-six.”
She sat back in her seat, an impish smile crossing her face. “My my. That’s quite old.” She paused and looked at the ceiling, her lips moving as she mouthed thirty-six in a whisper. Then she met his eyes with a smirk that was almost bratty. “Don’t folks your age typically go out for the early bird special?”
John Holden wasn’t often stunned speechless, but he couldn’t think of a reply as he stared at the young lady who’d just made a joke and called him old all in one breath. She’d been afraid of him at first, right after the accident when she feared he’d be angry over the fender bender. But now that she’d begun to trust him, her sense of humor was coming out. He liked it. He liked her. She was rich and likely very spoiled, but she wasn’t so snobby that she couldn’t enjoy a conversation and have dinner with a stranger born and raised in the hills of West Virginia.
Finally, a retort came to his mind.
“Aren’t all good little girls your age supposed to be tucked into bed at this hour?”
