Six More Days Left in Vegas
Hello everyone! I hope you’ve been reading my guests’ posts and enjoying the excerpts. So many good books out there.
I’m still in Las Vegas for my twentieth wedding anniversary, and we’re doing it up big. Last week, I showed you pictures of our room. This week, I have a few more things to share.
Picture 1 is the view from our hotel suite. It looks over part of the strip and off into greater Las Vegas. The Palazzo, nearest, is the Venetian’s sister property. They share “Restaurant Row” and the gondola rides.
Picture 2 is of Ken and I having one of our anniversary dinners. This one is at Aquaknox, a seafood restaurant in the Venetian. They presented us with a dessert plate where they’d written “Happy Anniversary” in chocolate.
Picture 3 is of Ken hamming it up at The Beatles Love by Cirque de Soleil. It was a magnificent show. So big and bold that it sometimes brought tears to our eyes. The music (all Beatles tunes, of course) was awesome.
Picture 4 is of the fried Oreos dessert we had at Yardbird after a night out with friends. The night before, we saw Jersey Boys. Another terrific show.
Picture 5 is of Ken and I having another anniversary dinner. This one is at Delmonico’s, an Emeril Lagasse restaurant here in the Venetian. The food was sumptuous. We ate way more than we ought to, but we had so much fun.
Picture 6 is our anniversary dessert at Delmonico’s. Eggnog ice cream with a sweet message on the plate.
Tonight, we’re going to see Rock of Ages, a rock-n-roll retrospective production. That ought to be fun.
Next Thursday… last set of pictures.
I hope you’re enjoying this little photo journal. It’s fun to share it with you.
Happy New Year! May your 2016 be bright with promise, warm with love, healthy, happy, and prosperous!
