Go often askew…

Robert Burns, “To a Mouse.”

My plan, as of June 1 this year, was to teach and put writing aside for the foreseeable future. But, as Robert Burns said (to paraphrase) plans don’t mean much in the real world.

Recently, in discussions with one of my publishers — in this case, Blushing Books — it came to pass that they miss me. Aw. Made me feel good. I needed to be missed. They asked me to write for them again. I thought about it. I wondered if I had another erotic spanking romance in me. I told them I’d get back to them shortly.

I went through my files and my outlines of book ideas. I keep all my book ideas, just in case. Good thing I did! One of my outlines was exactly the kind of book Blushing was looking for from me.  I told them I’d do it, we all hugged (virtually) and off I went.

Now, I’m half way through the first draft. Thought you’d like to know that I’m working on something you’ll like. Something juicy and historical, a bit like The Blacksmith’s Bride and a bit like the Journey Family series, but not part of a box set. My goal is to make this the first book in a four book series. I need to get finished with book one first.

Blushing Books gave me a deadline, and if I meet it, the book will be published in October.

I hope you’ll look forward to it as much as I do.

I’ll give you some hints and details along the way. Stick with me; I’m baaaack!

Trish
