cold nights hot reads hopHello and welcome to my post for the Cold Nights, Hot Reads hop sponsored by the Red Hot Authors Cafe (a group originally founded through Marketing for Romance Writers). The Red Hot Authors Cafe members are all erotic romance authors, bringing you lots of hot reads all the time.

I know you want to get right to the prizes, so here’s what’s being offered. Enter through the Rafflecopter and you could win:

Grand Prize – $125 Gift Card or PayPal Cash;
Second Prize – $50 Gift Card or PayPal Cash;
Third Prize – $35 Gift Card or PayPal Cash;
Fourth Prize – $20 Phaze Gift Card from Phaze Books.

Plus, every participating blogger is giving a prize away. For my part, I’m giving away one copy of any of my ebooks available through Amazon. There are about 20 to choose from (check out my titles by clicking on the menus above), so you’re sure to get one you want. It will be given as an Amazon gift.

To enter into my personal prize drawing, leave a comment on this post, telling me what you think you’d do with $125. Be frivolous, be wild, be practical; pick anything you’d really like to do with some cold, hard cash or a gift certificate. Leave your email address with your comment, or I won’t be able to tell you if you win my personal prize. And, please, please, keep your eye out for an email from me or from any of the bloggers. We don’t want to end up in your spam folder. It happens; you might be surprised at how often gifts are given to the 2nd name in the drawing because the 1st name didn’t reply to the prize award email.

These prizes are not chump change, friends. What would you do with $125? I can think of several things I’d do.

Here’s the Rafflecopter, and following that you’ll have the list of all the other bloggers on this hop. Enter at every stop. Thank you for visiting me today! Good luck!

survey speak your mind 16066255_sHello, everyone! I have something fun and special for you today. For the first time, I’m running a romance reader survey. It’s comprehensive, but it will only take you about 7 minutes to complete. Your answers, but not your identity, will be shared among your favorite romance authors, and we’ll be gearing up our plans for next year and beyond with you in mind. You can make a huge difference in how romance is written, presented, and priced.

You get something if you take the survey, too. You have an opportunity to play the Name Game. If you enter and win, you’ll be able to name a character (or two) from my next book. Three participants will win. You can get creative, or pick “John Smith”. I’ll give you character sketches and pictures to work from, and next thing you know, you’ll see your character name in print!

Instructions for entering the contest — simple, no hassle — are at the end of the survey.

The survey is completely anonymous, even if you enter the contest, your survey answers will never be affiliated with your contest entry. You can be honest with no risk.

Here’s where you go for the Survey Monkey survey. Thanks for participating!

The survey will close at midnight (ET) on Wednesday, December 10. Invite your friends to participate. Everyone is welcome.

If you’re here as part of the Spanking Romance A-Z Blog Challenge, the next letter on this blog is U and will be posted on Monday. A special prize will be awarded as part of this hop. To start with A, go here.

SF Rom Brigade Midsummer Blog HopPrizes You Can Win In The Starry Night Hop Presented by the Science Fiction Romance Brigade:

  1. $100 Amazon or B&N gift card, plus books;
  2. $50 Amazon or B&N gift card, plus books;
  3. $25 Amazon or B&N gift card.

All these prizes will be awarded through Rafflecopter (below) and you can enter through June 25th.

Welcome to my little piece of the Science Fiction Romance Brigade’s Midsummer Blog Hop, this year with the theme “Starry Nights.”

What does it mean to be “star-crossed” in a Romance book? Generally, it suggests that the hero and heroine exist under circumstances that make it seem impossible for them to get together. The stars are aligned just wrong for them, and happiness appears unattainable. In romance fiction, there has to be a glimmer of hope, a tiny sparkling light that they discover on their journey toward a happily ever after ending.

My science fiction series, the Romantek books, looks at lovers who meet in a virtual reality dreamscape, where they’re prevented from revealing who they are to each other due to the rules of the game. This makes it nigh on impossible for them to meet in their normal time, in their normal lives. But they do. Even when their problem seems unsolvable, they find their way to each other, like satellites gravitating toward a greater planetary body.

To read more about these three books (all of which stand alone, as they are each about different situations and have different protagonists with no relation to each other), you can find blurbs and excerpts here:

The Winner: Romantek Book 1
Charlotte & the Pirate: Romantek Book 2
and, Eddie, My Love: Romantek Book 3.

Thank you for joining me here today. Here’s the Rafflecopter where you can enter to win the great prizes.
