Sheri Savill Can Take the Heat – Can you?

Cover: Take the HeatPlease welcome my guest and good friend, Sheri Savill. She’s got a brand new story out as part of the Take the Heat anthology, “Slipknot.” Sheri is a humorist and a writer of dark BDSM books and stories. Her single-author books are: Owning Julia, Bound for Disappointment: A Parody, and Bound & Inked.

Today, she’s sharing a little about herself and the information pertaining to her short story. Here’s Sheri, in her own words.

Hi Patricia! Thank you so much for letting me visit your site. As you know, I have a dark kinky BDSM-related story in an upcoming anthology, Take the Heat. My story is called “Slipknot” and it’s about 3000 words and I can’t really excerpt it because, well, 3000 words. Wait, let me try. Maybe I can give you a sense of it without spoiling it:

“…. oh my God!”

There. See? Dark. Depraved. BDSM. I told you. It’s not for the faint of heart or the easily offended.

I’m not sure what your readers would like to know about me, but I get asked one question in particular all the time:

“Sheri Savill, what the hell is going on in that dark sick twisted mind of yours?” This is better explained with a helpful pie chart.

Well, there you have it. I hope you enjoy Take the Heat. I hope you pre-order it. I’ve explained in detail on my blog why you should pre-order it. It’s to do with science and meteors but I’ve kept my explanation in terms that lay persons can understand, I think.

Thank you again, so much, Patricia, for letting me make your readers do the “WTF” face.

Oh, you’re so welcome, Sheri. (Readers: Sheri causes me to make the “WTF” face all the time. Also, I will be doing a brief but useful review of Sheri’s story on Friday. Do come back.)

Sheri Savill bio:

SHERI SAVILL is the author of dark BDSM erotic romance, and humor, and is a real-life submissive who was into BDSM before it was cool. A career in media and journalism (reporter, editor, DJ, copywriter) drove her to the brink of insanity, so she became an attorney and web developer.

Known for her irreverent blog, Savill is tattooed, pierced, geeky, easily annoyed yet fun-loving, and well caffeinated. She speaks often of a treasured “letter from Dave Barry” that no one has actually seen. Award-winning sex author and columnist Violet Blue called Savill’s BDSM parody “painfully, hilariously timeless.”

When she’s not charging her portable electronic devices, Savill spends her time writing, thinking about writing, or wishing she had written. She scored a 780 out of 800 on a standardized writing test of some sort and, just as she predicted, has never had to use calculus in her entire adult life.
