Today, she’s sharing a little about herself and the information pertaining to her short story. Here’s Sheri, in her own words.

Hi Patricia! Thank you so much for letting me visit your site. As you know, I have a dark kinky BDSM-related story in an upcoming anthology, Take the Heat. My story is called “Slipknot” and it’s about 3000 words and I can’t really excerpt it because, well, 3000 words. Wait, let me try. Maybe I can give you a sense of it without spoiling it:

“…. oh my God!”

There. See? Dark. Depraved. BDSM. I told you. It’s not for the faint of heart or the easily offended.

I’m not sure what your readers would like to know about me, but I get asked one question in particular all the time:

“Sheri Savill, what the hell is going on in that dark sick twisted mind of yours?” This is better explained with a helpful pie chart.

Well, there you have it. I hope you enjoy Take the Heat. I hope you pre-order it. I’ve explained in detail on my blog why you should pre-order it. It’s to do with science and meteors but I’ve kept my explanation in terms that lay persons can understand, I think.

Thank you again, so much, Patricia, for letting me make your readers do the “WTF” face.

Oh, you’re so welcome, Sheri. (Readers: Sheri causes me to make the “WTF” face all the time. Also, I will be doing a brief but useful review of Sheri’s story on Friday. Do come back.)

Sheri Savill bio:

SHERI SAVILL is the author of dark BDSM erotic romance, and humor, and is a real-life submissive who was into BDSM before it was cool. A career in media and journalism (reporter, editor, DJ, copywriter) drove her to the brink of insanity, so she became an attorney and web developer.

Known for her irreverent blog, Savill is tattooed, pierced, geeky, easily annoyed yet fun-loving, and well caffeinated. She speaks often of a treasured “letter from Dave Barry” that no one has actually seen. Award-winning sex author and columnist Violet Blue called Savill’s BDSM parody “painfully, hilariously timeless.”

When she’s not charging her portable electronic devices, Savill spends her time writing, thinking about writing, or wishing she had written. She scored a 780 out of 800 on a standardized writing test of some sort and, just as she predicted, has never had to use calculus in her entire adult life.

Here’s some info on the anthology, Take the Heat: A Criminal Romance Anthology.

I bid you welcome my colleague, Suz deMello, who’s bringing us a real treat (pun intended). Welcome, Suz!

A Victorian Meal, by Suz deMello

In Sherlock’s Scandal, Sherlock and Irene dine on roulades of salmon on braised greens, followed by a syllabub, and drank champagne. Did I imagine a realistic meal?

The champagne, certainly. Wine has been made in the Champagne region of France since the country was known as Gaul—i.e., since the Roman era. However, the development of the bubbly drink we now prize came rather later. The monk Dom Perignon, whose name still adorns bottles of the finest champagne, lived from 1638-1715. But according to Wikipedia, his main focus was ridding the wine of the bubbles, which are the natural result of the fermentation process. The drink we know today was developed in the nineteenth century by the house of Veuve Cliquot, which was joined by Krug (1843), Pommery (1858) and Bollinger (1829).

The fish, also. The Billingsgate market alone sold 136,000 tons of fish annually including salmon. The salmon would likely have come from “the firths and bays of Scotland,” that country having been long famed for its fine salmon. The greens upon which the roulades were served may have come from Covent Garden, “the great vegetable market of the metropolis.”

The dessert, syllabub, had been known in England at least from the sixteenth century. It’s a pudding of various consistencies—I’ve seen it thick enough to eat with a spoon, or a thinner concoction poured over fruit or cake.

If they had enough money, the average Londoner ate well even though food inspections were intermittent. However, some of the grub they fancied are somewhat foreign to our palates.

“Bloaters”

A few examples: Bloaters, a street food, was a cold, smoked herring that was eaten whole, gills and eyes included. Calves’ foot jelly—a dish my British mother made until we all rose up in protest—was also popular. Some of the tastier dishes available on the street include meat pies—pasties, which you might want to wash down with ginger beer, a perennial favorite that’s still available.

Here’s a little about Sherlock’s Scandal:

A bored Sherlock is a dangerous Sherlock. His twin vices of cocaine and sex could prove his undoing, until he meets his match in elusive, enigmatic Irene Adler. Hiding her heart, Irene deserts Sherlock in the midst of their affair. He schemes to win her back, but the lady won’t come easily to hand. Instead, she forces him to compete for honor, glory and love.

My colleague and sometimes fearless leader, Lynda Bailey, is sharing a preview of her latest book, Shattered Trust.

Lynda is a true word artist, and I know you’ll enjoy this book. Let me introduce you to the concept.

Learning to love is the easy part…

As a young woman, Kate Landry trusted the wrong man, and she paid dearly for her naiveté. Alone, pregnant and destitute, she survived by the sheer force of her will. Now forty-two, Kate has made a good living for herself and her daughter as the owner of the Bluebird Saloon. But she’s forgotten how to live. That is until he comes into her bar…

Liam St. James loved a girl once. And only once. After an accident paralyzed her, she didn’t trust he would continue to love her. Brokenhearted, Liam left and soon discovered a world where women did trust him—to be their sexual Dominant. He plays out the scenes masterfully, but the unexpected request from the stoic bar owner will pose his greatest challenge yet…

Kate and Liam embark on a journey to uncover repressed urges and, in the process, they discover new desires. They also fall in love with one another. But when you’ve been shattered as badly as they have by mistrust, deceit and abuse, loving is easy. Trusting is harder, if not impossible, especially when the heart is involved…

Shattered Trust is a BDSM romance. It contains explicit language and graphic love scenes, including bondage, domination, spanking, whipping and multiple partners. It is intended for mature readers only.

I’ve always loved stories, especially romances. For me the only thing better than reading a romance is writing one. That and drinking red wine while eating dark chocolate.

The opening salvo for Nancy Corrigan’s Wild Hunt series, is Hunter Betrayed (Wild Hunt Book One).

Details

Tainted from birth, Harley lives a life cloaked in darkness and temptation. She resists the lure of her evil legacy by holding the memory of her ghostly savior close. Every night without him is agony. She fantasizes about him and yearns for his body, but he’s not the protector or lover she’s envisioned. He’s a Hunter bred to eliminate her kind. He’s also her only hope of salvation.

Calan, the leader of the Wild Hunt, was created to protect mankind from the Unseelie Court. For a millennium, he’s sacrificed to ensure the horrid creatures remain in the Underworld, but his strength wanes. He must rely on his enemy’s daughter to save him, but he doesn’t expect the intensity of their lust or love. Her touch calms his wild nature and ignites his carnal desires. He’ll risk all to save her, but doing so forces him to make the ultimate sacrifice, one that’ll damn him to suffer forever in his own living hell.

A Romantica® Paranormal erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

Here’s an excerpt, so you can get an idea of Nancy’s style and talent. Warning: This is very hot and might not be safe for work.

She wanted him. God, she’d craved him for so long. Why had she walked away? He’d saved her, given her a piece of himself without asking for anything in return. No, that wasn’t quite true either. He’d asked for her to release him so he could make love to her.

Tears welled in her eyes, part from the pleasure building in her body but mostly from the emotion stripping her raw. He’d been hers since that fateful night.

Her salvation. Her dream lover. Her hope.

She stretched out on the thick comforter and thrust harder, faster. Spread wide, she worked herself to the point where her orgasm hovered just out of reach.

She added a third finger in an attempt to push herself over the edge. Her palm smacked her swollen lips. Her breathy moans filled the room. More, she needed more. With her free hand, she grabbed her breast. The rough squeeze did nothing. She pinched a nipple and arched her back on the whipping sparks skipping over her skin. Not enough. Dear god, it wasn’t enough. She needed…

“Calan.”

His woodsy, campfire scent wafted around her. She dragged in a breath and filled her lungs with the air she suddenly had to have inside her. She’d die without it. The silken wrap he’d left on her heart and body pulsed with his heartbeat. It echoed inside her and mixed with hers until both raced in a rapid cadence. She squirmed over the soft blanket. Surrounded inside and out by silk, she tingled. Every inch of her sensitive body craved attention. She yearned for his touch, only his.

She choked on shaky sob. “Need you, Calan.”

The warmth of his breath on her cheek popped her eyelids open. A wavering image of his face hovered above her. The eyes she loved still showed a blurry band of darker blue around his pupil.

She reached for him. Her fingers scattered his image. “Don’t leave me.”

Never, my Harley. His form gained depth yet not dimension. She could see the wall behind him. Picture me and I can come to you for a little while.

Today I’m spotlighting the wonderful Barbara Donlon Bradley’s new book, Stolen Desire. If you go to her Amazon Author Page, you’ll discover that it’s part of her Desire collection. Here are some details.

When Heather is confronted with her time traveling self she fears the worse. The woman came to warn them of a terrible accident but something isn’t right. The visitors her future self says are there to help only wants to kidnap her and kill her mate. Using her mind she tries to protect her friends and family. Yet she wakes up as a prisoner after seeing the ship Storm is in blow up. She is now alone, and trapped. Somehow she has to figure out a way home and hopefully reverse all the horrible things that have taken her family from her.

Here’s an excerpt:

Chapter One

Heather sighed as she opened her eyes and stretched. Before she could move she felt a warm hand on her breast.

“I see you’re awake.” Storm’s breath brushed against her cheek.

She looked up at her mate, who had a knowing smile on his face. “And I see you are awake too.” She was referring to the erection pressed against her hip.

“True, but I can’t help it when I have such a wonderful partner lying beside me.” Storm nibbled against her throat. “We still have time before we need to be anywhere.”

“Why didn’t you wake me earlier?” She smiled as he settled himself between her thighs. “You could have had all the time you want if you had.”

“Because the twins aren’t allowing you to get sleep enough yet. I don’t mind watching you sleep when I know you need it. It gives me time to appreciate having you in my life.” He dipped his head to her mark. “And waking you up this way is an anticipation I look forward to. I don’t mind stretching that out a little.”

“Because you know what will happen when I wake.”

“That is the best part.”

She felt him smile against her neck as he pulled the soft tissue of her mark into his mouth before he worked his way down her body.

“You are incorrigible.”

“And that is why I’m your heart.” His tongue lathed her nipple before drawing the tip into his mouth. She arched up against him and he slipped his hands under her.

A growl escaped him when they were interrupted by the computer system. “Heather, you have a communiqué from Admiral Barrister.”

She sighed again. This time in frustration. What did he want now?

“The last time he contacted us you ended up being whipped.” Storm blew against the tip before he climbed back up her body. “I’m inclined to not let you answer him.”

“Storm, I’m still part of Earth’s security.” She looked up at him, his face only inches above hers. “I can’t ignore him.”

“Fine, but you’re not getting out of this bed until I say so.” He rolled off her and helped her sit up and settle herself against him. “Put him on, Cim.”

“Sir.” She adjusted the cover to make sure she didn’t expose herself.

“Commander, sorry if I interrupted something, but we need to talk, in person.”

“Sir?” What was so important that he wanted them to make a trip to Earth. “You know it’s not that easy for me to step away from my duties here.”

“I know, but I have something to show you that you need to see.” Bear pressed a key and changed the image they were looking at. The new picture was a holding cell. Inside was a woman who looked a whole lot like Heather. “Before you ask I ran DNA tests against the data you gave me. She is you.”

“That isn’t possible.” She suddenly felt cold.

“Tell that to her.” Bear switched the image back to him. “Needless to say this was something I didn’t want Earth security to investigate too deeply so I pretended she was you. I’m on my way to Vespia and will need clearance in about fifteen minutes.”

“We’ll meet you at the landing port.” Storm closed the communiqué and was the first one up. “I don’t like this at all.”

“We need to contact Bert as well. Perhaps he could shed a little light on what is going on.” Heather stood as well. With a thought they were both dressed. Heather stepped into the twins’ bedroom to find them still asleep. She touched their heads softly before she walked back into the main room where Storm waited. “They’re sound asleep.”

“Then let’s go.” He placed his hand against the small of her back as they headed out the doors. “I have given Bear clearance to land and contacted Bert to join us. Your brother has been made aware as well so he’ll be here when the twins wake up.”

“Thank you.” She kept her thoughts to herself.

“You okay?”

“Yes, my heart.” Heather wrapped an arm around his waist and gave him a quick hug. “Just want to know what is going on.”

“So do I, my heart.”

They walked onto the tarmac and waited as Bear’s ship touched down.

Storm looked down at her upturned face as he pulled her close. She knew he picked up on the fact that she was tense and far too quiet. “I know this bothers you. Your silence tells me more than any words. I want to know why there is a woman in Bear’s ship who looks like you, too. Together we will get to the truth.”

“I wish Bear had told us more. Why is she, me here? What happened to force me to travel back in time?”

“My question as well.” They had come to the same conclusion. The woman in question was probably from the future which didn’t bode well. She knew he could smell her fear and wrapped his arms around her in support. “I’m sure he will explain everything he knows and your brother and Bert will explain the rest.”

****

“I don’t know what to tell you,” said Bear. They stood outside the room where Heather’s look-a-like paced the floor. “She came to me, claiming to be you, but from our near future with a message. Then she refused to speak after that.”

“Who is the message for?” asked Storm.

“You.” He looked at Heather. “Look, I tried to get her to talk to me, but she refused. She promised to explain everything once she saw Heather, which is why I brought her here. I didn’t know what else to do.”

“You did the right thing, Bear. I’ll talk to her and see what is going on.”

“I don’t think so.” Storm shook his head. After all they had been through he didn’t trust anyone and that included an exact copy of his mate.

“Then how are we to know why she is here?” Heather looked at him.

“Storm, that woman has been quite adamant about talking to your mate. Heather number two has also promised to go through any tests you might want her to go through as long as you allow her to speak to herself.” Bear shook his head. “It’s all a little strange to me.”

Kuarto walked into the medlab. “Really wish you would stay put when you call me. I went to the landing area as you requested and was told you had come here. This is where I was in the first place.”

“Sorry,” said Heather. “We needed to move indoors rather quickly.”

“What is so important that you…” He spotted the other Heather. “Never mind. I’m assuming you want me to check out your guest?”

“Please?” Heather rubbed her hands on her skirt, her nerves taking control. “We need to get to the bottom of this.”

Kuarto walked into the room where his sister’s look-a-like waited. Heather watched as he ran his tests. Where did this woman come from? Why was she here? He was frowning when he came back out.

“She is you. The DNA proves it, but she is also older than you. About six weeks.” He kept looking at his readings. “I don’t know how this is possible.”

“Thank you.” Heather knew. This version of her had time-traveled. She didn’t like the rock that was forming in the pit of her stomach. Something must have gone terribly wrong for her to come back in time. “Let’s find out what I have to say.”

Storm wrapped his arm around her waist to keep her at his side. “Wait for Bert. If that really is you then you know the consequences of getting too close to yourself.”

A little bit about Barbara:

Writing, for Barbara Donlon Bradley, started innocently enough, like most she kept diaries, journals, and wrote an occasional letter but she also had a vivid imagination and wrote scenes and short stories adding characters to her favorite shows and comic books. As time went on she found the passion for writing to be a strong drive for her. Humor is also very strong in her life. No matter how hard she tries to write something deep and dark, it will never happen. That humor bleeds into her writing. Since she can’t beat it she has learned to use it to her advantage. Now she lives in Tidewater Virginia with two cats, one mother in law – who’s 87 now – her husband and son.

Today, I’d like to welcome Beverly Ovalle and her new novella entitled Touched by the Sandman. It’s 34 pages of dreamy, heated romance, and a bargain at 99₵. There’s a giveaway at the end of this post, so join the Rafflecopter and add your name to the draw.

Here’s some information about the book:

A lonely woman’s torrid sexual dreams and fantasy partner await her as a dominant reality in another dimension~

The sandman visits those that need him, assisting them to sleep. Until one night he meets a woman that he cannot help but return to time after time.

She is lonely. He comes to her as she drifts off to sleep, the man of her dreams. Awake or asleep, which is her reality?

He knows she is the one meant for him. He will find a way to make both of their dreams come true.

And here’s a little excerpt so you can sample Beverly’s writing style:

The darkness blurred and shimmered, bringing to life a man of moonlight and darkness: Aryne.

Before him Aryne could see her, lying in bed, tears of loneliness staining her pillow. She made his heart ache. He softly stepped to her side. His hand touched her face and gently pushed back her hair. He leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, turning her dreams from sadness to joy. Her body arched toward his touch as the skim of his hand, the heat of his skin traced the edges of her curves. He stepped back…and then within the shimmer of dreams disappeared.

Night after night her loneliness cried to him. Unable to resist, he came to her. Subtly he inserted himself into her dreams, into her arms. Aryne knew it was wrong. As a guide, his job was to bring sweet, peaceful dreams. But no one affected him like she had. He was unable to resist comforting her, drawing her into his arms, covering her body with his…but only in her dreams. There Aryne stole the passion from her lips, igniting an ache in his body that would not go away.

Touching her shattered him. He knew instinctively that her touch would be his downfall. Her touch could keep him here in this splinter of his world, isolated as all of the Outcasts were. Generations had gone by; those exiled had died long ago, their children mixing amongst the races of the universe.

He had tried to stay away, fearing this. He was adrift, swept away, drowning in her passion, breaths away from losing himself. Giving in, acknowledging the power she unknowingly had over him would condemn him, keep him here if she was unable to travel to his world. Very few could navigate between worlds. And this world would drain his power rather than enhance it. Even the short time he spent there took its toll on him, the drain only in abeyance when he was in her arms. Try as he might, he could not resist her siren call. Only by controlling her and the passion between them could he make sure that he would not become lost. Lost in her. Trapped forever in her world.

He had done his best, gentling her to his hand, to his control. She knew the unspoken rules, knew the consequences. He played them out in her dreams, a dark symphony of passion and restraint. Perhaps unforgivable for a guide, but he could not resist. And just her body was no longer enough. Eventually he would capture her heart and soul.

A man of shadows, it would be during the midnight hours of her slumber.

Beverly Ovalle lives in Wisconsin with her husband Edmond of 24 years and two Chinese Water Dragons. Having her own Dragons is expected as she is dragon crazy and anyone that walks in her house can tell. Her son Nicholas visits when he is on leave from the Marines. Her daughter Susannah visits from time to time to make sure us ‘old’ folks are alive and kicking.

Beverly has traveled around the world thanks to five years in the US Navy and has worked for the government in one capacity or another for the past 30 years. Beverly and her brothers have travelled most of the continental United States as children due to the station wagon from Hell. Still active with veterans, she is adjutant for her local AMVETS.

Beverly has been reading romances since her Aunt introduced her to the gothic romance in the fourth grade and is still reading every chance she gets.

Blake, penned this wonderful Corbin’s Bend (series) book. If you haven’t begun reading Corbin’s Bend, A Simple Misunderstanding is the perfect place to start. The books have no particular order, so you can jump in anywhere. I’ll be writing a Corbin’s Bend book as well, but it won’t be ready for a few months.

Kathryn’s book is ready for you now. Don’t miss it!

When Domestic Discipline turns into abuse, the result is more than A Simple Misunderstanding.

Elly Benson struggled to be the properly submissive wife her husband desired. She tried to do everything he asked of her, until he convinced her she could never be the perfect woman he expected and demanded by nearly killing her.

As a vet, Jerry Douglas recognized signs of abuse when he saw them. Elly Benson, however, was a married and consenting adult who insisted all her bruises and welts were nothing more than a simple misunderstanding between her and her husband, until the day Arthur Benson took his authority and discipline one-step too far.

And, of course, this marvelous excerpt:

After Jerry got Jack fed and settled, he called Brent’s office.

“Carmichael.” That was Brent. All business and direct when events required quick results.

“Brent, it’s Jerry.”

“Hi, Jerry.” Jerry imagined his mentor tilting back in his chair. “What can I do for you?”

“I’d like to talk to you about Mr. and Mrs. Benson. Mrs. Benson, actually.”

“What about her?”

“I’ve gotten her to loosen up a little, and though I don’t have any proof, I think her husband might be abusing her. Yesterday, she sported some serious bruises on her wrists, and today she had difficulty walking. I fear I’m responsible. I tried to keep her talking to me, which made her late, and since she appeared cold, I lent her my coat. I believe Mr. Benson took exception to both those unusual developments.”

“Did she say so?”

“Not directly, but she did admit she got punished for not dressing properly for the weather.”

“Jerry….”

“I know. I would have spanked her for going outside with only a sweater on, too, if she’d been mine to take care of, but I wouldn’t have made her so sore she couldn’t walk.”

Brent Carmichael paused, and Jerry suspected his friend was struggling to be tactful. Brent was naturally protective of the people in Corbin’s Bend. No doubt the thought of one of theirs being abused stuck in his craw as well. After a moment, he spoke. “I understand how you feel, but some husbands are stricter than others, and—”

“Brent, please, I don’t need the lecture. Okay? What I want is someone to follow up with her and Arthur to make sure he’s not harming her, even if it’s unintentional.”

The only sound Jerry heard was Brent’s breathing. Finally, the other man said, “All right. I’ll suggest Kelli broach the subject with her. As Elly’s mentor, I think she’s the best choice, but Jerry, you and I need to sit down and discuss the appropriateness of your fixation with Mrs. Benson. I realize you view Eleanor Benson as a wounded animal and want to shelter her under your protective wing. However, Mrs. Benson is neither yours to protect, nor care for, and I suspect your feelings may be interfering with your objectivity.”

“Fine, I’ll set up an appointment to talk with you next week, but let me say this. When I asked Mrs. Benson how her wrists came to be so bruised and swollen, she said it was just a simple misunderstanding between her and Arthur. And Brent, putting my feelings aside, what happened to that woman was neither a misunderstanding, nor simple.” At that, Jerry hung up. A part of him longed to tell his mentor off, but his rational mind knew the older man was right. If Elly wouldn’t speak up for herself, and admit she and Benson had a problem, they could do nothing to help her. And, though his growing feelings for Mrs. Benson might be inappropriate, they weren’t interfering with his objectivity. They had practically eclipsed it.

About Kathryn:

A Simple Misunderstanding is Kathryn R. Blake’s fourth novel with Blushing Books, and third spanking romance where Domestic Discipline is primary to the plot. Although Kathryn is relatively new to the spanking romance market, she is not new to stories where the hero spanks the heroine. In fact, most of her novels have some sort of spanking in them. However, even in Kathryn’s novels where the hero firmly believes in using spanking as a deterrent, he has no desire to cause the heroine injury and takes no delight in hurting the woman of his heart.

Brent Carmichael loved Corbin’s Bend. A small community at the base of the rocky mountains just for spankofiles, he worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly and that the residents were safe and happy. He never intended to fall in love but when Charmagne Kendle stumbled into his life, he found an attraction he had no intention of fighting.

Char moved to Corbin’s Bend after losing her job, her apartment, and her fiance all in one day. She had no idea she was actually moving to a spanking community but with the freedom to explore her secret fetish, she found herself happily upended over Brent’s lap. As their relationship deepened into domestic discipline, her ex appeared wanting her back. Now she had to choose. The rich, handsome, and charming Nathan Korven or former police officer Brent Carmichael. To find her bliss, there was really only one choice.

“Do you want me to undress you? Or do you want me to watch?”

No guy had ever asked her that. Nathan always undressed facing away from her and waited until she got into bed before he would turn around. Just the thought of Brent watching her undress was such a turn on.

“Watch,” she whispered, though where she found the strength to do so, she had no idea.

Gazing into her eyes with a look that made her tremble, he took a step back and crossed his arms, his whole stance making her drool; he looked like a model for some spanking porn. Swinging her legs over the side of her bed, she kicked off her shoes and then wondered, Can I make this sexy? She had never undressed for a guy before.

Slightly shaky, she reached for the hem of her sweater and pulled it up over her head before tossing it to the side. There was no way she could watch him watch her, so she concentrated on unbuttoning her jeans slowly. But when it came to taking them off, she became a little awkward and turned around, bending over as she did so.

His inhalation made her freeze and then moan as his warm hands rubbed over her buttocks. “Anyone ever tell you that your ass is perfect?” he murmured.

Still bent over, she looked at him over her shoulder. “Uh, no. Nathan said it was my worst feature. That for as tiny as I was, it was too fat.”

His eyes, blazing with something that she did not understand but instantly felt herself pulled toward, met hers. “He was an idiot. Each one of your cheeks,” he continued to stroke, “was made by a master’s firm touch.” A low moan left his throat as he bent over and kissed each cheek, making liquid gush from her core. He inhaled again and something akin to a growl rumbled in his chest. “You smell wonderful.”

When his hands lightly grasped her waist, holding her in place, his lips began to trail up her spine, kissing and licking each ridge.

“So beautiful,” he murmured as he kept going, slowly lifting her upper body up the higher he went until she was standing straight, and he nibbled on her neck. Her only warning was the feel of his fingers on her back before her bra released and he tipped the straps over her shoulders. The bra fell to the ground, she was pretty sure, but she forgot about it as his hands took each of her globes in his hands and squeezed lightly.

“Yes,” she murmured as he pulled her back against him.

“Warm,” he whispered, “and the perfect handful.”

Your community is Corbin’s Bend, Colorado? I looked it up on a map and couldn’t find it.

Really? Did you really look? Up in the mountains northwest of Denver, southwest of …Okay, just teasing. It doesn’t actually exist. I only hope it could.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to live in a community of like-minded people where you could let out your deepest desires/kinks without reprisal?

Now, I will admit, Corbin’s Bend is specific to spanking and while somewhat kink friendly, I would definitely place it on the spanking/DD side and not on the BDSM side, though there are residents who are into BDSM.

Just imagine walking down Spanking Loop, the main road in town and hearing the distinct sound of a paddle meeting flesh. It isn’t shocking because, well, you’ve heard it before and after all, it’s happened to you more than once. Well, more than once a week, really. Don’t worry. We won’t tell

All of your neighbors are spanking friendly, for some it’s a sexual fetish, for others it’s discipline related, but everyone has that one thing that ties them together. I don’t know about you… But sounds like a great place to live to me.

Of course CB is a bit of an utopia, but that doesn’t mean it can’t exist in some context, right?

So where can it be? In your imagination, of course. I swear one of these days I’m going to have a t-shirt printed up with the words: “I may live in [insert your chosen state here] but my heart and my ass belong in Corbin’s Bend.”

I’m a believer that we create our own reality. So maybe part of me hopes to belong to such a community one day. Who knows? But until then? I can be there in my mind, as I re-read Finding Their Bliss and Where They Both Belong, and the other eight novelas that have come out this summer. Oh, and more stories are on their way. Come join us in Corbin’s Bend.

Thianna D is an author of erotica and erotic romance, many of her books either domestic discipline or BDSM in nature. She loves to write about the emotional aspects of these kinds of relationships.

She was thrilled when eight other authors joined in to create the Corbin’s Bend series, a set of erotic spanking novels and novellas.

Well, okay, you’re probably waiting for some information before you plunk down your $3.99. That’s fine, I’ve got details!

When death holds sway in the world, can even the greatest love survive?

Finally in France, Alyse and Thomas return to their roles as courtiers to Princess Joanna. Their passion for one another continues to smolder hot and deep—until one fateful encounter changes everything.

During a formal banquet, Alyse must share an intimate dance with Geoffrey, her first love. His searing touch proves Alyse’s love and desire for him is as strong as when they first met. Tormented by this revelation, Alyse is bitterly torn between the love of her life and her love for her husband.

Into this agonizing situation, the disaster of the Black Death rears its head, decimating the princess’s retinue and threatening all their lives. Alyse, Thomas and Geoffrey must try to save the princess from the ravening disease but at a dire cost to themselves. With her world plunged into chaos, Alyse struggles with her feelings for both of the men she loves. But which love will survive?

An excerpt, you ask? But of course!

Geoffrey hurried on with a suggestion. “’Twould be the work of a few moments for me to teach it you, my lady.”

It would have to serve. She shot a look over her shoulder at her husband, who nodded and laughed with the princess though his eyes were trained on her. Best get on with it then. The sooner ’twas done, the better.

“Your skill at dancing is such that you would certainly learn the steps with but slight instruction from me.” Geoffrey leaned so close his voice, against her ear made her jump and recall herself. She stepped back and looked at him.

His practiced courtier’s smile flickered at her, and she caught something deeper shining in his eyes that she fought not to see. Her heart stuttered a beat. Her body flushed with the anticipation of dancing with him again even as misgivings swirled in her mind. No good would come of this dance, but Thomas watched closely to see that she acted cordially to Geoffrey. Would that it was an act.

With a sense of heavy foreboding, she extended her hand to him. “Very well, Sir Geoffrey. What must I do first?”

He placed her hand atop his arm and led her to their place in the circle of dancers then grasped her hand to pull her around to face him.

The moment his hand touched her skin, a streak of fire shot through her. Her mouth went dry, and her gaze flew to his face. Surely he felt that as well?

He stared back, his eyes mirroring all too clearly the blaze that coursed up her arm.

Damn Geoffrey Longford.

In a daze, she looked around at the other dancers, expecting them to stare accusingly at her. As if they could see this sinful feeling that tore at her soul. At a loss for how to act, she raised her gaze to beseech Geoffrey. “What do we do now?”

’Twas an apt question for, God forgive her, at the touch of Geoffrey’s hand, all thought of her husband had fled. She was back on the deck of the Phillipa, facing him once more. Loving him once more.

Geoffrey cleared his throat, his face flushed, and said simply, “Follow me.”

Then they were twirling around the circle, hands clasped, arms touching intimately, He seemed to brand her wherever he touched. The figure reversed, and her other side was scorched as if a red-hot blade seared her. Her gaze locked onto Geoffrey’s, and the music, the dancers, the Great Hall and all its inhabitants melted away until all that was left was the whisper of his breath in her ear and the heat of his body pressed close against her.

He leaned in closer to whisper, “I must lift you now.”

Before she could grasp that staggering news, his arm went around her waist and he lifted her, twirling them around full circle. She panted, blood pounding in her temples, roaring in her ears.

They continued to dance, but she moved as though she were a doll made of rags, her legs barely able to stand. Her world narrowed to the single source of light and life that was the man who held her in his arms again. The man whose love she could no longer deny. Despite the agony of the betrayal, in the core of her being she knew neither the vows she had spoken to Thomas nor the passion they had enjoyed in his bed would ever match the intensity of love and belonging she shared with Geoffrey. As soon compare a candle’s flame to the sun.

Okay, now you really can go and buy Beleaguered.
Coach’s Discipline by Katherine Deane

Claire Jacobs always dreamed of making it to the Olympic Trials in the marathon. Unfortunately, she has a habit of getting in her own way. Enter Nick Fox, a no-nonsense coach, willing to use unconventional methods to bring her in line. Traumatized by her last coach and still recovering from self-destructive habits, Claire finds it hard to trust Nick’s authority about what she can and can’t handle on the trails. Still, her attraction for him deepens, even when she discovers he believes in good old-fashioned spanking as a method of correction.

As Nick spends more time with Claire, she enchants him with her drive and deep commitment to help her fellow runners. But when she gets into an argument with a teammate, he realizes he only has one option—to give the talented woman he cares about the first spanking of her life, a spanking that is not going to be fun for either of them.

Claire and Nick grow closer and she comes to crave Nick’s dominance and direction. Discovering the emotional healing and strength to succeed during training, she moves past her shyness and self-doubt to step into a leading role with the young women on the team. But when team politics, jealousy and misunderstandings create drama, will she revert back to her old pattern of running away? Or can she learn to trust in love and race toward her goals with an open heart?

Publisher’s Note: Coach’s Discipline is an erotic romance novel that includes spanking, including domestic discipline in a contemporary setting, anal play, sexual scenes, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Available for sale on Saturday, July 12!
