I’ve been exploring the Journey family series over the course of July, and on Wednesday for Horny Hump Day, I started giving a peek into the third of the Journey books, Spanking Her Highness. This story is about how, third child, Queenie Journey, falls in love with her neighbor, Will Mazie. She’s quite the spitfire and spoiled brat, so it’s rather a tumultuous beginning.

Here’s a bit of her first spanking. Queenie has a problem with cussing and controlling her temper. Will won’t take any guff from her, warned her, and when she persisted at being a brat, he tossed her over his broad shoulder.

He swatted her sharply on the behind. Twice.

“You can’t spank me! I’ll shoot you! You just see if I don’t.”

Two more spanks on her denim-clad rear and she squawked and flailed. He didn’t drop her, and maybe she was a little glad for that. It was a long way down. But she was pissed off something fierce and wasn’t going to go to her punishment without a fight.

Welcome back! I hope you’ve been enjoying this journey back into the Journey family universe. So far, this month, we’ve had peeks of Liv’s Journey and Ace-High Flush. This week, I’m sharing a bit of Queenie’s story, Spanking Her Highness, which is book 3 in the series. Characters from previous stories are in this book also, but it’s the story of how Queenie met her match with her new neighbor Will.

In this segment, Queenie is ticked off with Will, but at the same time, she finds him totally appealing. Even his high-handed ways turn her on. Today, he’s tossed her on a hay bale and is showing her one of his best features: affection.

To my delight, my most recent release, Correcting Kathy got a 4.5 star review from Spanking Romance Reviews! Thanks to Katherine Deane for sharing her opinion with the world on both Spanking Romance Reviews and Manic Readers. This book has gotten some rave reviews from other readers, and was featured on USA TODAY’s HEA page. Although it was published by Stormy Night Publications, it’s been a best-seller at Blushing Books for several weeks.

She was effusive in her praise, saying (among other things),

I loved this book and was sad to see it end so soon. I hope the author decides to do another story with these characters. They were delightful!
