Today, I’m sharing an interesting tidbit from my spicy historical romance, Under Wraps. Although it has a few erotic bits, it is largely a traditional sexy historical romance. It’s set in 1852 and tells the story of Glee Montrose who finds herself traveling with a weird entourage of people as she tries to make it from Boston to Monterey, California, by wagon. Her guide is a skanky fellow, very unlikeable, a bounty hunter. Moreover, he’s got a prisoner—a handsome, well-educated, brave prisoner, who’s determined to get away. But, will he take Glee with him when he runs?
The following segment is part of the nasty bounty hunter’s introduction. He’s about to violate a saloon prostitute unpleasantly, and unfortunately, our hero is stuck, chained in the room, able to hear the entire sordid exchange.
But first you gotta get me real hard, Junie. Know how to do that?”
There was a pause. “Yeah, I guess you do.”

Ah, the lady is a true professional, and even though I feel for our hero being a reluctant listener, if not a direct observer, I’ve a feeling he’s going to intervene if Mr. Skank insists upon something even a seasoned prostitute would object to. Sounds like a great book, Trish. Love the cover.
