- Family members: She has parents on Earth, but she’s not close to them. They disagreed with her decision to leave the Command Security Reserves to work as a school teacher.
- Family History: Both her parents are employed as minor executives for one of the large mining co-ops on Earth.
- Strengths: Nina has a lot of moxy. She’s tenacious and flexible. She’s also strong physically, but not so strong that she can overcome a determined man.

- Likes and dislikes: Nina respects strength, but not cruelty. She liked Michael O’Malley at one time.
- Goal in this story: She’d like to get back to Earth and escape subjugation.

- Education: Educated at Laricon’s farm, which teaches rudimentary academics and lots of sensuality.
- Occupation: Consort
- Geography: Alyssa lives on Ganymede (Laricon’s moon) and has lived there her entire life.
- Economics: She has no income or prospects for income. She is cared for by the state.
- Family members: Unknown, but considers the other consorts her sisters.
- Family History: Born and raised on “The Farm” to be a consort someday, Alyssa has no knowledge of her family history, and considers the history of the colony as her own pedigree.
- Strengths: Alyssa is persistent and flexible. She is also very sensually adept.
- Quirks, idiosyncracies and foibles: She’s been taught not to cuss, and finds it very shocking, but dangerously delicious. She envies Nina sometimes for her boldness, but feels sorry for Nina for her stubborn persistence in regard to escaping and fighting her new station.
- Likes and dislikes: Alyssa has a need to please a strong man. She is also bisexual. She does not like disobedience from her “sisters.”
- Goal in this story: Alyssa wants to be a successful consort.

- Geography: Michael was born on Earth, but has lived all over the solar system, and on Ganymede for 4 years.
- Economics: He makes a decent living, but has few opportunities to spend what he earns.
- Family members: Michael has a brother also in the Security Force, but they rarely communicate due to the nature of the ops Michael is assigned to.
- Family History: Michael comes from a military family with a strong Earth-centered service tradition.
- Strengths: He’s got great determination and willingness to do what it takes to make his mission successful. He respects women, and it pains him to have to treat them with the disdain required for his undercover op. Michael has strong moral underpinnings and can’t wait to kill Laricon’s ways.
- Quirks, idiosyncrasies and foibles: Michael is a sensual man with a dominant streak.
- Likes and dislikes: Michael likes order and freedom. He dislikes oppression, greed and corruption.
- Goal in this story: Michael wants to destroy Laricon’s slave trade and the man’s hold on Ganymede. He wants to free all the enslaved people and help them find decent lives.
